Open Text, a Waterloo-based software company has 200 vacancies and is having trouble filling them. The company held a job fair last week, the second such fair this year. Incredibly, it plans to hold another next year.
This is a company in the high-tech field, but, as Tom Jenkins, the company's executive chair and chief strategy officer, said, Open Text is not looking just for computer specialists. "There are jobs right across the spectrum, from finance jobs to technology jobs to business jobs," he said.
