Nestlé Canada To Expand And Create Jobs

McGuinty Government Helping Eastern Ontario Strengthen Key Sector

Ontario is helping Nestlé Canada improve production, create jobs and strengthen the highly established local food industry sector in eastern Ontario.

Nestlé Canada is investing over $14.6 million to purchase and install new equipment along with food safety items needed for the equipment.  The project will streamline operations, reduce the company's environmental impact and ensure that food safety remains the top priority.

The province is investing $1.5 million, which will help create 13 new jobs and retain 298 existing positions.  This investment supports the province's new, five-year Open Ontario Plan to strengthen the economy and create more jobs.
