Hamilton Service Canada Centre for Youth hosts mini-job fairs

The Hamilton Service Canada Centre for Youth is hosting mini-job fairs this week to connect students, homeowners and employers who need casual work or jobs done.

The idea is that youth sign up with the Odd Job Squad at the centre and then list their work experience and availability for work.

This could be anything from cutting lawns to distributing flyers.

Employers who need students' services can contact the centre and a match is made.

The mini-job fair will be held tomorrow at the Hamilton Service Canada Centre for Youth at 1550 Upper James Street between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.; again Wednesday from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. at an Eastgate Square Mall information booth; and again Friday and Saturday from 8:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Ottawa Street Farmers' Market.

Homeowners or employers needing students services and youth looking for some summer employment can visit the centre on Upper James.
