Central Alberta Career and Job Fair 2011

More than 70 local employers will be at the Central Alberta Career and Job Fair on March 22, looking to fill hundreds of job vacancies in and around Red Deer.

Job seekers should bring copies of their resums and come dressed to impress as some employers will be conducting interviews on site.

“I am pleased that the federal government has joined us in supporting the Central Alberta Career and Job Fair,” said Alberta Employment and Immigration Minister, Thomas Lukaszuk. “This fair is just one of the many ways the governments of Alberta and Canada work together to help Albertans find rewarding careers and assist employers in meeting their workforce needs.”

“In today’s environment, it is more important than ever that young Canadians have the skills and information they need to participate and succeed in the job market,” said Earl Dreeshen, Member of Parliament for Red Deer. “Our government is proud to support activities like this one that benefit both employers and youth.”

The fair runs 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., on Tuesday, March 22, at the Capri Hotel and Convention Centre, 3310 – 50 Avenue, in Red Deer. Admission and parking are free.

The fair is funded jointly by the Government of Canada and Alberta Employment and Immigration.
