New Brunswick Virtual Career Fair 2011

The New Brunswick government, Brunswick News Inc. and CareerBeacon.com have been partnering to produce Atlantic Canada's longest running and most successful virtual career fair over the past seven years.

Each virtual career fair, running every spring and fall, offers candidates approximately 3,000 job and career opportunities to choose from right here in New Brunswick.  The 15th Virtual Career Fair is being held from May 18 to May 29 at www.careerbeacon.com/NBen

"This unique strategic partnership ensures businesses will not be crippled by a shortage of skilled workers due to the increase of Baby Boomers and Traditionalists leaving the workforce ... Communicating digitally with the most technologically sophisticated generation, Gen Y, will make New Brunswick an increasingly attractive opportunity to learn, work and grow professionally," explained Dan Cormier, Senior Business Development Officer of CareerBeacon.com.

Minister’s message for the 15th Virtual Career Fair

As Minister responsible for Post-secondary Education, Training and Labour, I am pleased that the Government of New Brunswick will team up once again with CareerBeacon.com for the 15th Virtual Career Fair being held from May 18 to May 29. This online recruitment event is a valuable resource for both job seekers and the province’s employers.

As a province, we are putting New Brunswick on the path to building a labour force capable of meeting the challenges of our changing economy. Even in our changing economic conditions, there are several New Brunswick companies looking to hire skilled individuals. Despite these openings, job seekers are not always aware of the many career opportunities available to them. That is why we value our partnership with CareerBeacon.com, which helps bring attention to the various occupations available to everyone, especially our youth.

I encourage all job seekers and recent graduates in particular, to explore the many exciting and fulfilling career opportunities available to them in various New Brunswick industries. This will benefit not only those potential employees and employers, but also the entire province.

--Hon. Martine Coulombe Minister of Post-Secondary Education, Training and Labour
